This feature aids you in making timely shifts, ensuring optimal performance. Beyond the shift light, the display includes the current gear with adjustable font sizes to suit your preferences.

Enhanced Downshifting Insight

A standout feature of SimShiftLight is the successful downshift indicator. This tool crucially aids racers during the brake and downshift phase, vital for precise cornering. Rev-matching requirements can often complicate downshifts, but this indicator helps you effortlessly detect each successful or missed downshift without distracting from the drive. When a downshift is correctly executed, the gear background flashes green, with blink duration customizable to the millisecond. This option can be entirely disabled if preferred.

Minimized Latency for Optimal Performance

Efforts have been made to reduce display latency within SimShiftLight. On compatible devices, latency is reduced to just a few milliseconds when data is transferred from your PC to the device through Wi-Fi, ensuring a highly responsive experience. While simulator output frequency may introduce unavoidable delays, the seamless integration ensures you remain aligned with real-time simulation outputs. Note that to fully benefit from SimShiftLight, a supplementary lightweight server application is required on your simulator PC to feed data to your device.
